How Long Does a Traditional Crown Take?
Should I get traditional braces?
The answer to this question really depends on your specific situation. Patients who have more severe orthodontic problems, like bite misalignment, can benefit from getting traditional braces because the treatment won’t take as long to address the issue they face. At your consultation, our dentists will walk you through all of your options and make sure that you have all of the information you need to choose the best one for your needs.
How can I keep my child from getting cavities?
Cavities are one of the most common oral health problems among children because they’re still learning how to properly care for their teeth. If your child is susceptible to decay, we can place dental sealants over their molars to prevent food debris and plaque buildup in the pits and grooves of the teeth. This will make brushing and flossing easier and curb the development of cavities.
How often should I change out my toothbrush?
It’s recommended that you change out the head of your electric toothbrush or get a new manual toothbrush once every three months, whenever you notice the bristles beginning to fray, or after you’ve gotten sick. This will prevent bacteria accumulation on the brush that could lead to oral infections or illness.
How can I floss my teeth more effectively?
If you have difficulty flossing your teeth using regular dental floss, it could be leaving leftover debris and plaque between them, increasing your risk of developing oral health problems like cavities. Instead, you can try using easy-to-maneuver flossing picks or a water flosser to effectively remove food and debris and keep common oral problems at-bay.
Is teeth whitening from a dentist better than store-bought kits?
Investing in professional teeth whitening administered and vetted by a dentist is definitely worthwhile. Not only do we utilize ingredients that are proven to be both safe and effective, but they also offer long-lasting and fast results that you can count on.
Will my dental insurance cover the cost of dental implants?
Unfortunately, it’s rarely the case that dental insurance plans will cover the cost of the dental implant procedure; however, they may apply benefits to different parts of the process, like your restoration or any preparatory procedures you need. The best way to learn what your insurance will cover and what they won’t is to contact them directly. If you need help, we can also reach out to them on your behalf!
